Empire actress Serayah, who plays singer Tiana Brown on the show, will perform a new song about female empowerment on next week’s episode, titled “Cupid Kills”

The track is called “Me” and was inspired by Beyoncé, says Serayah. “The song reminds me of Beyoncé’s ‘Me, Myself and I.’ Lyrics in both songs speak to female empowerment, but both are really about self-love,” Serayah tells Entertainment Tonight.
“I feel like ‘Me’ is almost an anthem — none of us need approval or love from anyone else to define our worth, all that any of us need is me to be happy,” she declares.
